We’ll take people — students, travellers, villagers — onto the rivers through guided kayaking experiences, not just for adventure but for education. Along the journey, we’ll…
Paddle for our Rivers
A campaign on awareness and cleanliness drive
What Are We Doing?
We’ll start with the Brahmaputra, but the vision is bigger — to cover multiple rivers, unite communities, and spark a river protection movement across the Northeast.
Why It Means Everything to Me
I grew up by these rivers. I’ve seen dolphins swim alongside my kayak… and I’ve also seen plastic bags choking the waters. It breaks my heart, but I refuse to stand by. Our rivers are life-givers – they feed millions, carry legends, and shape cultures. If we lose them, we lose ourselves.
This campaign is more than cleaning – it’s about rekindling our relationship with rivers, inspiring youth, and giving people a reason to care.
What We Can Achieve Together
Every rupee you contribute brings us closer to cleaner rivers, connected communities, and a more hopeful future.
Let’s paddle for a purpose. Let’s give our rivers the respect they deserve.
Your contribution isn’t just funding kayaks — it’s funding change. It’s funding hope.
Thank you for believing in this mission. Let’s know our rivers, clean our rivers, and save our rivers – together.

Campaign FAQs
Paddle for Our Rivers is an awareness and cleanliness drive where we combine kayaking experiences with education and hands-on river cleaning. The goal is to help people experience our rivers up close, understand their importance, and take action to keep them clean.
This initiative is led by me, Naushad Hussain, along with a group of local experts, environmentalists, and adventure guides. I have been promoting sustainable tourism and river-based experiences in Northeast India for over a decade.
We are starting with the Brahmaputra River near Guwahati and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary. The plan is to gradually expand to other rivers in Assam and Northeast India, depending on support and resources.
Anyone with a basic level of fitness and an interest in rivers and the environment can join. We will provide all safety gear, training, and expert supervision. Even first-timers are welcome!
The funds will be used for:
- Purchasing kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and safety gear.
- Organizing river cleanup drives.
- Conducting workshops in schools and local communities.
- Creating educational materials and awareness campaigns.
- Training local youth as river ambassadors.
Full transparency on fund utilization will be provided to all supporters.
This is not just a cleanup. It’s about building a deep emotional connection with the rivers through adventure, education, and action. We believe people protect what they love — kayaking helps them fall in love with our rivers.
We aim to make this a continuous campaign, covering different stretches of rivers, engaging more people, and building a long-term movement for river conservation.
Your donation alone makes a huge impact. You can also help by:
- Spreading the word on social media.
- Sponsoring participation for local students or communities.
- Volunteering your skills (photography, logistics, social media, etc.).
We will share regular updates, photos, videos, and impact reports with all our supporters through email and social media platforms.
Our rivers are not just water — they’re life sources for millions of people, agriculture, wildlife, and culture. But pollution, neglect, and ignorance are destroying them. Your support helps bring awareness, action, and a brighter future for our rivers and our communities.
